I accept small to medium-large (golden retriever size) pups. The most important thing is that they are friendly and ready to have a ton of fun on our walks and adventures!
The Meet & Greet is an important opportunity for both me and your pup to meet each other. During the meeting I will be checking to see that new pack members are well socialized, are friendly around other dogs, and display appropriate behaviors around dogs of all sizes.
We will also be able to make sure that your dog feels comfortable with me, my home, and my dog Koda who is everyone's best friend.
These requirements not only ensure the safety of each dog in my home, but also ensure that each dog will be able to relax, have fun, and enjoy their time with me.
Anxious dogs and elderly dogs thrive in my home! I offer the perfect calm home environment for dogs who need it. My boarding limits allow me to make sure that no one feels overwhelmed and everyone gets the space and time they need. When they are ready all of the loving in the world is ready for them!
I am willing to administer most basic medications to dogs with special medical considerations. More severe medical conditions may be denied and referred to board with your trusted Vet.
I board a maximum of 4 dogs at any given time. This limit allows me to give each guest in my home the attention and love they crave while you are away!
We always start off the day with a nice long walk to let the pups sniff around and get out some energy!
Throughout the day the dogs play together inside and outside during our many breaks for fresh air and those who want to relax can just lounge on the couch and get some rest.
We finish off the day with one last walk to make sure all the pups are happy and ready to spend the night by my side watching T.V. or a movie while giving the pups all the love and cuddles they need! Every pup who stays as a guest in my home is always treated as if they were my own dog with lots of love, attention, exercise, and mental stimulation.
To ensure that the dogs don't need to rush through their meal or feel like they need to guard their food, I do separate feedings for each dog. This means that the dogs are either eating at slightly different times, or they are separated in different rooms while they eat.
Food:
Pack enough food for your pup's entire stay plus enough food for a few extra days should their be any changes to the duration of their stay. Make sure you have filled out the intake form before dropping off your pup and include all feeding instructions in the form. Do not bring any bowls for food or water. I provide stainless steel bowls that are washed between each use. If your pup requires a special feeding bowl such as a slow feeder, you may bring that.
Collar and Tag:
Make sure that your pup is wearing a secure and sturdy collar that they cannot slip out of. Please have a tag on their collar that says their name as well as your contact information.
Leashes and Harnesses:
If your pup is used to walking on a harness, please pack the harness with their things. You do not need to pack a leash, I will provide my own sturdy leashes for walks and outings.
Beds and Toys:
Please do not pack any bedding or toys for your pup. I have endless comfy spots in my home for your pups to relax and many toys for them to play with. By leaving their beds and toys at home we can help to avoid any potential resource guarding issues.
I provide completely kennel free boarding, but if your pup needs to sleep in a crate I do have one available upon request.
Medication:
Please pack all medication that your pup needs during their stay in their original packaging with labels and dosage amounts. Please also fill out the medication instructions on the intake form before dropping off your dog.
Yes! I will send you daily updates and photos letting you know all the fun that your dog is up to. While you are away, you can relax knowing that your loved one is being well cared for!
